In the NSP system, Outdoor Emergency Transportation (OET) involves raising the bar for patroller's skiing skills and sled handling, primarily for serving a ski area's guests. Ski Enhancement Seminars are offered most years at big mountain resorts at which Patrollers are placed in small groups with more proficient Professional Ski Instructors (typically PSIA Level 3 Examiners) to enhance their on-hill performance. Toboggan Seminars are held in alternating years at resorts that provide challenging terrain for sled handling, usually including steeps, bumps and crud.
In the Intermountain Division, the Ski and Toboggan Enhancement Seminars are usually scheduled in February. For 2018, a Toboggan Enhancement Seminar will be held at Beaver Mountain on February 6th. The cost is $TBD. Registration is not open yet.
