In the NSP system, Outdoor Emergency Transportation (OET) involves raising the bar for the patroller's skiing skills and sled handling, primarily for serving a ski area's guests.
Ski/Toboggan Enhancement Seminars are offered most years. Patrollers are placed in small groups with Professional Ski Instructors, (typically PSIA Level 3) or proficient Toboggan Instructors to enhance their on-hill performance. Seminars are typically held in challenging terrain. These terrains include steep, bumps, and crud.
In the Intermountain Division, the Ski/Toboggan Enhancement Seminars are usually scheduled for late January or early February 2025. Registration is not open yet.
